The Club is a new product that is intended for very noisy situations
and/or for people who have suffered considerable loss of hearing. Many
people using the Club will already have a hearing aid but will not be
gaining sufficient benefit from it if there is a lot of surrounding
noise. Club is a very powerful directional microphone which is about
the same size as a cigarette which, above all, is outstandingly
flexible and easy to use. The Club can be:
hand-held
placed on a table
worn on the ear
connected, inductively or directly, to the majority of BTE hearing aids
a temporary replacement of ITE hearing aids

The Club is compact and modern looking. The array technology, with
as many as four in-line microphones, and the advanced electronics
provide the powerful
directivity. Sudden loud noises are suppressed by
the built-in peak limiter which means that that the Club is always
comfortable to use.
In the majority of cases, for example during meetings, at dinner
parties or when watching television you will place the Club on the
table or hold it in your hand and the sound will then be fed to the
earphones via a wire. In other situations where you will usually be
standing or walking around, for example at a reception, you will
probably want to keep your hands free and will therefore slide the
rubber ear clip over the Club and wear it on your ear.
The Club is very popular with people who use Behind-The-Ear hearing
aids. Many of these hearing aids now suppress surrounding sound to a
certain extent. Therefore, at those times when you need your hearing
aid the most, for example at noisy parties or in busy restaurants, it
will usually fail to perform adequately. You can connect the Club to
these hearing aids by using induction hooks (provided the hearing aid
has a T mode) or you can use the Direct Input if your hearing aid is
fitted with this. By using the Club in this way you will have an
exceptionally strong directional working whilst still using your normal
hearing aid.
